plus a collection of works from Baroque Bolivia and some other works
from the Late Middle Ages to the Early Romantic Period.
This is an archive of the editions of Anthony Maydwell – Academic, Harpist, and Conductor over the last 40 years.
His activity in High Renaissance choral music and harp music began as a teenager with an interest in the works of Carlo Gesualdo and William Lawes. As a lecturer at the WA Conservatorium of Music and later with the establishment of his ensemble Summa Musica, Maydwell has edited many works specifically for Holy Week, given their first Australian performance or first performance in modern times as part of the yearly cycle of the ensemble’s activities.
The works have been edited from manuscript or earliest published source, online facsimiles or citing the works in person at libraries around the world.
If you wish to contribute to sustaining this archive there is an Adrian Adam Maydwell Music Archive Patreon page.
The archive was established to remember his son, Adrian Adam Maydwell.
